Futuroscope: (Futuroscope Hotels)
Located just north of Poitiers, exit 28 on the A10 motorway is just two minutes from the Parc du Futuroscope main entrance; for fun and a different view of the world with twenty-first century, movie technology. Closed in January.

L’Ile aux Serpents: (Snake Island)
Route de Montmorillon, La Trimouille.
Snakes, iguanas, varans, alligators, lizards, turtles and mangeese dwell in a scenery made of caves and green vegetation. Visitors can discover the 50 species, including 250 animals, living in a replicate of their environment.

La Vallee des Singes: (Monkey Valley)
View some 350 free-roaming monkeys at Le Gureau, Romagne; south of Poitiers, between Gencay and Civray. The chimpanzees’ island is the biggest territory in Europe, where the animals can find a part of their food in some artificial mounds and edible plants.

Les Geants du Ciel:
Watch the birds show off in the majestic surroundings of Chateau des Eveques, at Chauvigny.

Parc de la Belle:
Located in Magne, near Gencay, the Belle Floral Garden is blooming with more than 20,000 plants, trees and varieties of flowers across six hectares of land on the banks of the river Belle.
